One lock a day. The same one for everybody. No luck involved.
Somebody already tried today's lock and wrote down what happened. Each row is one of those tries: two numbers say how many symbols were in the right place, and how many were right but in the wrong place. Exactly one code fits every row. Work it out and open the lock — you have three tries.

NO GUESSING, EVER
Every lock is checked before it reaches you: it has exactly one answer, no row is there for decoration, and it can be reasoned out with your head rather than by trying combinations. If you got it, you deduced it.
FOUR SIZES OF LOCK
- Easy 3 wheels, 6 colours. Two minutes with a coffee.
- Normal 4 wheels, 6 colours. The daily one.
- Hard 5 wheels, 7 colours. Bring a pen if you like.
- Expert 4 wheels, and every symbol has a colour AND a shape. Each row is read three times: the whole symbol, the colour alone, the shape alone.
