Kintze is published by Gunka Studios (info@gunkastudios.com, https://gunkastudios.com). This policy explains what the app does with data. It is short because the app does almost nothing.

What we collect

We collect nothing. We have no servers, no accounts and no analytics. We cannot watch you play and could not identify you if we wanted to.

The game works offline: today's fronton is generated on your own phone from the date. The only time the app uses the network is to request an ad; what Google processes then is explained below, under "Advertising".

What stays on your device

Using the phone's standard storage (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS) the app keeps your record in each mode, your streak and today's score, the circuit season you have under way (which round you are on, the points of the eight pelotaris and how many txapelas you have won), which "How to play" cards you have already seen, and your sound, vibration and language settings, and whether the daily reminder is on or off. It also keeps a count of the ads — the day the last one was shown and how many have appeared today — which is what enforces the maximum of three a day. And, for the daily reminder, the time (hour and minute) of your first game on each of the last 14 days you played.

None of it leaves your device, and all of it disappears when you uninstall the app. There is no backup and no sync. You can erase it all from Options.

Sharing your result

If you tap "Share", the app hands a piece of text to your system's share sheet: the date, your score, your txokos, your streak and a link. Who you send it to is up to you, and what happens to that message depends on the app you choose, not on us.

Daily reminder

The app can remind you that today's fronton is waiting. It is a local notification: the app itself schedules it on your phone with the system's scheduler (AlarmManager on Android, UserNotifications on iOS). There is no server, no push service and no Firebase, and nothing leaves your device.

It is off by default. After your first game, the app asks you once, in its own panel, whether you want the reminder; only if you say yes does the system's notification permission dialog appear (on iOS, and on Android 13 or later). You can turn it on or off at any time in Options ▸ Daily reminder. It arrives at most once a day, around the time you usually play, and only if you have not played yet that day; never between 22:00 and 09:00. After three days in a row without playing, it stops until you play again. To know when you usually play, it uses the first-game times stored on your device (see above), which are erased with "Erase my record" in Options and when you uninstall, like everything else.

Advertising

The app is free and shows one ad per session, with a maximum of three a day across all sessions. A session starts each time you open the game, and each time you come back to it after three minutes or more away.

The ad appears when you close the result screen of a match — today's fronton, a single quiniela or a round of the circuit. It never appears during a game. Training carries no advertising: the four practice modes (Target wall, Endless rally, Single points and Against the wall) show no ads at all. The web version has none.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. To show them, Google may process technical data such as your IP address, device and app identifiers, and your interaction with the ad, in order to deliver it, cap its frequency, measure it and prevent fraud:

We request non-personalised ads only. We build no profiles and we do not sell or share data with anyone.

On iOS the app does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and therefore does not access the advertising identifier (IDFA).

In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland Google's consent form (User Messaging Platform) appears first. Your answer is stored on your device and you can change it in Options ▸ Ad privacy.

There are no in-app purchases.

Children

The app is not aimed at children in particular, and it collects nothing from anybody, whatever their age.

Permissions

On Android the app declares vibration (for the shot and the point) and internet access and the advertising ID, the last two only for the ads. For the daily reminder it declares two more: showing notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) and knowing when the phone has started up (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED), to schedule the reminder again after a restart, because Android forgets scheduled alarms when it reboots.

The only permission the app ever asks for at runtime is notifications, and only if you said yes to the daily reminder; the same goes for iOS. No camera, microphone, location, contacts or files.

Changes

If any of this changes, this page and the date above will be updated before the version that changes it is published.
